Bibelen (Det Danske Bibelselskab)

Ap. Gerninger 13,11

Jobs Bog 34 (Bibelen (Det Danske Bibelselskab))

at have Gud som ven.

13 Paulus og hans ledsagere sejlede ud fra Pafos og kom til Perge i Pamfylien, men Johannes forlod dem og vendte tilbage til Jerusalem;
14 de andre rejste videre fra Perge og nåede til Antiokia i Pisidien. På sabbatten gik de hen i synagogen og satte sig;

According to the work of a man God will repay him, and according to his ways he will make it befall him.

Job 34:11

Paul said to Elymas the magician:

“Behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand.

Acts 13:11

Jobs Bog 34 (English Standard Version)

8 who travels in company with evildoers
and walks with wicked men?
9 For he has said, ‘It profits a man nothing
that he should take delight in God.’
10 “Therefore, hear me, you men of understanding:
far be it from God that he should do wickedness,
and from the Almighty that he should do wrong.
11 For according to the work of a man he will repay him,
and according to his ways he will make it befall him.
12 Of a truth, God will not do wickedly,
and the Almighty will not pervert justice.
13 Who gave him charge over the earth,
and who laid on him the whole world?
14 If he should set his heart to it
and gather to himself his spirit and his breath,

Ap. Gerninger 13 (English Standard Version)

8 But Elymas the magician (for that is the meaning of his name) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.
9 But Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him
10 and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand.
12 Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished at the teaching of the Lord.
13 Now Paul and his companions set sail from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia. And John left them and returned to Jerusalem,
14 but they went on from Perga and came to Antioch in Pisidia. And on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down.
