Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling)

Laat almal wat by U skuil, bly wees, laat hulle altyd jubel.

Psalm 5:12

Die Here my God help my, ek sal nie teleurgestel staan nie.

Jesaja 50:7

Psalm 5 (Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling))

Jesaja 50 (Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling))

4 Die Here my God het my geleer om die regte woorde te gebruik sodat ek dié wat moeg is, kan moed inpraat. Elke môre laat Hy my opnuut weer luister, Hy laat my luister soos 'n leerling moet luister.
8 Hy wat my onskuldig sal verklaar, is naby; wie wil 'n aanklag teen my inbring? Laat ons elkeen sy saak stel. Wie wil my aankla? Laat hom vorentoe kom.
9 Die Here my God help my; wie sal my dan skuldig verklaar?

English Standard Version

Let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them.

Psalm 5:11

The Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced.

Isaiah 50:7

Psalm 5 (English Standard Version)

8 Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies;
make your way straight before me.
9 For there is no truth in their mouth;
their inmost self is destruction;
their throat is an open grave;
they flatter with their tongue.
10 Make them bear their guilt, O God;
let them fall by their own counsels;
because of the abundance of their transgressions cast them out,
for they have rebelled against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them ever sing for joy,
and spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may exult in you.
12 For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover him with favor as with a shield.

Jesaja 50 (English Standard Version)

4 The Lord God has given me
the tongue of those who are taught,
that I may know how to sustain with a word
him who is weary.
Morning by morning he awakens;
he awakens my ear
to hear as those who are taught.
5 The Lord God has opened my ear,
and I was not rebellious;
I turned not backward.
6 I gave my back to those who strike,
and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard;
I hid not my face
from disgrace and spitting.
7 But the Lord God helps me;
therefore I have not been disgraced;
therefore I have set my face like a flint,
and I know that I shall not be put to shame.
8 He who vindicates me is near.
Who will contend with me?
Let us stand up together.
Who is my adversary?
Let him come near to me.
9 Behold, the Lord God helps me;
who will declare me guilty?
Behold, all of them will wear out like a garment;
the moth will eat them up.
10 Who among you fears the Lord
and obeys the voice of his servant?
Let him who walks in darkness
and has no light
trust in the name of the Lord
and rely on his God.
