Gee tog vir my uitkoms deur u troue liefde, soos U my beloof het.

73 Met u eie hande het U my gemaak, my gevorm; gee my insig, dat ek u gebooie kan verstaan.
74 Dié wat U dien, is bly as hulle my sien, want ek vertrou op u woord.
75 Ek weet, Here, dat u bepalings regverdig is.
76 Gee tog vir my uitkoms deur u troue liefde, soos U my beloof het.
77 Ontferm U oor my, dat ek kan lewe, want ek verlustig my in u wet.
78 Laat die hovaardige mense die slegste daarvan afkom, want hulle het my vals beskuldig; u bevele bly my altyd by.

and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
76 Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your servant.
77 Let your mercy come to me, that I may live;
for your law is my delight.
78 Let the insolent be put to shame,
because they have wronged me with falsehood;
as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.
79 Let those who fear you turn to me,
that they may know your testimonies.

Lukas 2 (English Standard Version)

22 And when the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord
23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every male who first opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”)
24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of the Lord, “a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”
25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law,
28 he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,
