Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling)

Dié wat by God hulp soek, sal moed skep.

Psalm 69:33

Julle sal vra na my wil en julle sal dan my wil ken as julle met julle hele hart daarna vra. Julle sal My ontmoet, sê die Here.

Jeremia 29:13-14

Psalm 69 (Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling))

30 Ek is 'n hulpelose mens, vol pyn, maar U, o God, sal my red en my beskerm.
32 So 'n offer is vir die Here verkiesliker as selfs 'n volmaakte offerdier.

Jeremia 29 (Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling))

You who seek God, let your hearts revive.

Psalm 69:32

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 29:13-14

Psalm 69 (English Standard Version)

29 But I am afflicted and in pain;
let your salvation, O God, set me on high!
30 I will praise the name of God with a song;
I will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox
or a bull with horns and hoofs.
32 When the humble see it they will be glad;
you who seek God, let your hearts revive.
33 For the Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.
34 Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and everything that moves in them.
35 For God will save Zion
and build up the cities of Judah,
and people shall dwell there and possess it;

Jeremia 29 (English Standard Version)

10 “For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place.
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
15 “Because you have said, ‘The Lord has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,’
16 thus says the Lord concerning the king who sits on the throne of David, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your kinsmen who did not go out with you into exile:
17 ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, behold, I am sending on them sword, famine, and pestilence, and I will make them like vile figs that are so rotten they cannot be eaten.
