1 Toe het Job weer gepraat:
2 "Ek weet dit is soos jy sê: Wie kan sy saak teen God wen?
3 As jy 'n saak teen Hom sou wou voer, sou jy Hom nie eers op een vraag uit duisend kon antwoord nie.
4 Die wysheid en krag van God is groot: wie kan Hom teëstaan en niks oorkom nie?
5 Hy verskuif berge sonder dat hulle dit self agterkom; in sy toorn maak Hy hulle tot niet.
6 Hy laat die aarde ruk, weg van sy fondamente af, en sy pilare bewe.
7 Hy gee opdrag aan die son en dit kom nie op nie, Hy verseël die sterre en hulle skyn nie.

Psalm 147 (Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling))

1 Prys die Here! Dit is goed om tot lof van ons God te sing, dit is 'n genot om die loflied te sing wat Hom toekom.
2 Dit is die Here wat Jerusalem weer opbou, wat die verstrooides van Israel bymekaarbring.
3 Hy genees die gebrokenes van hart en verbind hulle wonde.
4 Hy besluit oor die getal van die sterre en gee elkeen 'n naam.
5 Ons Here is groot en magtig, sy kennis is onbegrens.
6 Die Here laat die hulpeloses weer opstaan, maar die goddeloses verneder Hy tot in die grond.

6 who shakes the earth out of its place,
and its pillars tremble;

who seals up the stars;

1 Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.
2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the outcasts of Israel.
3 He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
4 He determines the number of the stars;
he gives to all of them their names.
5 Great is our Lord, and abundant in power;
his understanding is beyond measure.
6 The Lord lifts up the humble;
he casts the wicked to the ground.
